Zea Mays Printmaking Community Celebration & Open House

Join Zea Mays Printmaking in celebrating their 25th anniversary!

This event is free and open to the public, and will feature hands-on art stations, where participants of all ages can experiment with beginner-friendly methods of non-toxic printmaking. There will also be guided tours of the studio, demonstrations from faculty and members, and an art exhibit in the studio’s on-site gallery.

The theme of the event is “Healing Garden,” with emphasis being placed on the use of local plants that are appreciated for their beauty and medicinal properties, and on printmaking methods that are safer for artists and the environment. Attendees will have the option of contributing to a large community print centered around this theme, in addition to creating their own individual prints to take home.
