Angela is a visual artist, educator, and parent residing in Western Massachusetts. The materials she most often uses are curated from daily occurrences be it waste materials from home, scraps from jobs, or picking through sidewalk free piles. She invites chance, thriftiness, and ecological concerns to inform her studio practice.
Currently she is a member and studio technician at Zea Mays Printmaking in Florence, Massachusetts. She also teaches workshops on various printmaking techniques at Zea Mays Printmaking, Shepherd and Maudsleigh Studios in Newton, MA and privately.
She received her BFA in sculpture from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and MFA in studio arts from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in Minneapolis, MN. She has attended residency programs at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts in Omaha, NE, Elsewhere Artist Collaborative in Greensboro, NC, and Three Walls in Chicago, IL. In 2011 she received a Massachusetts Cultural Council fellowship in sculpture/installation.
