Tori Lawrence

Tori Lawrence is a western Massachusetts-based choreographer and filmmaker who makes site-specific multimedia performances and dance films exploring the relationship among body, landscape, and architecture. Directing Tori Lawrence + Co. (founded 2010) from the hilltowns of the Berkshires, her site-specific and screendance work has been presented nationally and internationally, including three commissions by the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia. She has received funding from the New England Foundation for the Arts, the Massachusetts Cultural Council, and the Vermont Arts Council, and residencies at Yaddo, Djerassi, USF Verftet (Norway), and Lademoen Kunstnerverksteder (Norway). She holds an MFA from the University of Iowa and teaches dance film at Smith and Keene State Colleges.
