Call for art: The Unexpected Portrait

We invite artists to deviate from formal posing and realistic representation, focusing instead on emotion, identity, memory, action, or unconventional subject matter through the use of modern techniques, stylized depiction, or abstract interpretations of the subject. Open to most mediums – we are unable to accommodate electronic media and are not accepting AI generated work. This show will be juried by Julie Lapping Rivera.

This exhibition will be on display at ArtWorks Gallery - 69 Main St, Ware, MA - from September 19 - October 17. The opening reception will be on September 19th from 3-5pm. Gallery hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4pm.
