Downtown Westfield WinterWalk, a community art and cultural experience in the heart of the Downtown Westfield Cultural District, combines a traditional urban art walk format with elements of European winter markets, and timed with the height of the holiday shopping and gift giving season. Featuring local and regional artists, artisans, authors and musicians, this experience returns some old-fashioned urban holiday magic and excitement to downtown Westfield through the arts! WinterWalk brings together creators and community in the heart of the city to experience high quality art and the opportunity to explore and support local, downtown small businesses.

A production of ArtWorks of Westfield, Downtown WinterWalk is part of our continuing efforts to bring creators and community together to engage, inform, inspire, empower, educate, and entertain in downtown Westfield; home of the new Downtown Westfield Cultural District.

New, emerging, experienced, and professional artists and authors are all encouraged to apply to show and share your talent and creativity with the community.

We have capacity to host about 50 fine artists and fine artisans, authors and creators! This is a juried show.

ACCEPTED MEDIA:
Preferred mediums include Fine art painting, drawing, mixed media, collage, photography, sculpture, and printmaking.Also accepted are Artisan high quality fine glass, wood, clay and Artisan quality jewelry, fiber art, metalwork and ceramics.

All work must be original and created solely by the applicant. We cannot accept work created by use of AI, 3D printing or a pattern, or by following a tutorial. Work featuring copyrighted characters will not be accepted. Mass‑produced or commercial merchandise is prohibited. The images submitted with this application must reflect the work you intent to display. For example, if your application images depict paintings, the majority of your display should be paintings.

Accepted literature includes original works in all literary genres. A writing sample is required with this application.

DISPLAY SPACES:
This is a traditional urban art walk with segments of this pop-up exhibition in an active transit pavilion, empty store fronts along Elm Street, active shops and cafes, and some unique and unusual places! Plus some outdoor spaces too!

The majority are INDOOR display spaces, roughly 4' x 6' in size, suitable for display tables, easels and small display racks. OUTDOOR display spaces are 10' x 10' in size suitable for pop-up tents. Early December temperatures can be tricky so we expanded the availability of indoor spaces along the walk.

Artists bring their own tents, tables, display panels, easels, chairs, etc. Bring the display supplies and platforms necessary to showcase your work!

$500 in Cash prizes will be awarded. Details to follow!

SHOW FEE:
$35 ~ ArtWorks Westfield annual supporting membership payable upon acceptance in show; non-refundable. Annual membership not only supports the expansion of art and cultural experiences and opportunities in Westfield, it also allows you to participate in future juried exhibitions for FREE upon acceptance during your membership period. Membership also provides free admission other activities like critiques, workshops, supply swaps and the like.
