Greenfield Crossroads Cultural District Call for Arts Projects and Events

Type: Other

The Greenfield Crossroads Cultural District is accepting proposals to support cultural activities in the community. The Crossroads Cultural District has an allocation of $10,500 to fund proposals for events and projects that feature visual, music, or performing arts and take place in the state-designated Cultural District. Submissions are due by May 22, 2026 at noon. To apply, visit https://forms.gle/gkuz7ZmJ77eaj6eK8.

“The Crossroads Cultural District Committee is dedicated to advancing arts and culture in the heart of Greenfield,” said Cultural District Chair Caitlin von Schmidt. “We’d like to thank the Mass Cultural Council for this generous award, and we look forward to receiving exciting proposals that share our mission of engaging the local community, and beyond.”

Events and projects must take place within the Cultural District and occur before December 31, 2026 to be eligible for funding. The committee is looking to fund projects that activate areas within the district, enhance vibrancy, inspire community, and draw people to the Crossroads Cultural District. Projects may include events, temporary or permanent public art, and interactive art installations. Business owners may apply, but their events should include a visible element that activates the streetscape. We expect to fund proposals in the $500-$1,000 range but all applications will be reviewed and considered.

Cultural Districts designated by the Mass Cultural Council drive economic growth, strengthen distinctive local character, and improve the quality of life of people across Massachusetts. By supporting arts, humanities, and science organizations, Cultural Districts attract tourists and entrepreneurs, which in turn help communities foster their cultural sector and expand their tax base. Greenfield received its Cultural District designation in 2016.
