Adam Bright

Artist / Creative (Individual)

Adam is an an Actor, Rigger and Prodcucing Executive Director. His primary work is with Double Edge Theatre for which he has worked since 2005, Bright moved to the US from the UK that same year. After training and working as a theatre artist in the UK in the early 2000s, he saw an opportunity to further train and work within the unique context of Double Edge Theatre. There he crafted a career that has specialization in all technical elements of theatre production as well as technical direction before finding a real love in rigging for theatre, circus and events. Bright performs as an actor and aerial artist within the context of any given theatre performance most noticeabley at Double Edge. From outdoor spectacles to intricate and intimate in-theatre settings he has trained how to use these skillsets for traditional settings as well as non-traditional outdoor and public spaces.

As a producing artist Bright has a unique opportunity to mix a deep understanding of the performer with the needs of a theatre's production crew. Understanding budgets and resources and how that affects a performance and the creators/performers within that is a skill crafted only in an environment such as Double Edge where the ensemble works for a longtime together and in many different scenarios botha as artists and leaders of the business. The actor training that is daily and is concurrent with professional development for producing/production roles. 

Bright's work over the last eight years has been more focusessd on outdoor and public spectacle based performances. He also prduced The Ashfield Town Spectacle and Culture Fair, 2017 that saw 190 individuals and groups perform across the town of Ashfield, MA includinge a parade through the town center to the its nearby lake for a finale water performance.
