The Amy H. Carberry Fine Arts Gallery, part of the Fine Arts Program and the School of Liberal and Professional Studies at STCC, encourages intellectual engagement and dialogue beyond the traditional classroom. Endowed by the Carberry Family in 2003, the gallery hosts five to six solo and group exhibitions, as well as numerous student workshops featuring artists, gallery talks, engaging lectures, insightful interviews, and panel discussions, from September to May. This 1,000 sq ft gallery serves as an interactive learning space at a community college, challenging stereotypes of galleries as exclusive venues and breaking preconceived notions about who artists are and what they create. One of the primary objectives is to showcase a diverse range of media, ideas, and artistic practices on campus, exposing the Greater Springfield community to a broad spectrum of creative and intellectual work and inspiring visitors to pursue their own artistic endeavors.
