Edda Valborg is a graphic designer and a fine arts printmaker. Printmaking, using hand-pulled print method through monotype technique as well as photopolymer intaglio work. Member of Zea Mays Printmaking studio in Florence Massachusetts. Also a member of Boston Printmakers, California Society of Printmaking, Monotype Guild of New England and The Icelandic Printmakers Association.

Edda Valborg grew up in Reykjavík, Iceland where she studied art and received her degree in Graphic Design. Later, she received a Master's Degree in Advertising Design at Syracuse University, New York.

Awards

  • Accepted submission to exhibit at the Artist and Editions Book fair (A/EB) in New York City. "Iceland Horizons" portfolio was acquired by the New York City Library’s Special Collections in October, 2018.
  • The California Printmaker Journal accepted and published my article titled “Printing in Color” in 2021.
  • Received an Honorable Mention Award for my monotype hand-pulled print “Gray and Green Landscape” at the Monotype Guild of New England juried membership show, November 2021.
  • A Jurors Choice Award was earned for my monotype hand-pulled print “Where Earth Meets Sky I” at the BLUE2021 exhibit at Cambridge Arts Association in October 2021.
  • Awarded a two week artist residency at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre, Annaghmakerrig, Ireland in September, 2019
