My name is Elizabeth LaPrade. I am an actor working in the genres of theatre, film, television, and voiceover. I debuted in a soap opera I wrote in my eighth-grade theater class, and then I went on to play the Elven Queen in The Hobbit that same year. That was where the creative spark began, and hasn't dimmed since!
My formal training didn't begin until the 1990s, and since then, I have worked in numerous theatrical productions spanning the last two decades. Alongside theatre, I continue to work in independent films and commercial projects, which give me the chance to explore different styles of acting on camera.
I have written and perform a one-woman show called "Her Final Hour". It is a piece that wrote itself, springing from personal contemplations, and has evolved into an hour-long show about a woman's transformation and reflections during the last hour of her life.
I enjoy working on ensemble theatre projects as well as film, and I love being a part of the storytelling collaboration process and watching it come to life.
I am eager to collaborate with directors, producers, playwrights, and fellow actors who value creative risk, authenticity, and strong ensemble work. Ideal projects for me are those that challenge me artistically and contribute to meaningful, thought-provoking storytelling.
