Piti Theatre Company

Performing Group

Piti Theatre Company was founded in 2004 by American playwright/actor Jonathan Mirin and Swiss choreographer, dancer and visual artist Godeliève Richard. Piti (pronounced “PEA-tea") is an ancient Indian (Pali) word translatable as “joy" or “rapture."

We're based in Charlemont, MA and have toured tour widely around New England, North America and Europe. Piti offers performances and residencies for all ages that plant seeds of joy, sustainability and justice.

Current touring all ages programs include: Story Wizards,  To Bee or Not to Bee, Sammy and Le Grand Buffet and Your Town. We also offer residencies for grade school and middle - high school age young people.

Piti also produces Dino Trail Week with museum partners every July up and down the Connecticut River Valley.
