Scott Halligan

Artist / Creative (Individual)

I am a conductor, composer, educator, and freelance cellist based in Western Massachusetts. I have the honor and privilege of conducting multiple prominent local choirs, while also composing original choral music. I enjoy collaborating as a creative cellist and music director for site-specific devised theater works, and I also enjoy serving as music director and conductor for conventional musical theater productions. I perform as a cellist for weddings, memorial services, and corporate events, and I also perform ragas on the cello in immersive, meditative sound bath events. I am committed to supporting youth mental health and the recovery community through music by offering special programs and being involved in local recovery organizations. I have 15 years experience as a k-12 music educator in public and private schools, and I have maintained a private teaching studio in Western Massachusetts since 2006.
