Springfield Cultural Partnership (SCP) is a nonprofit organization that strengthens Springfield through arts, culture, and creative collaboration. Founded in 2016, SCP serves the entire city by connecting artists, cultural organizations, businesses, neighborhoods, government, and community partners to create opportunities for creativity, civic engagement, and shared community life.
As a membership organization, SCP brings together a diverse network of artists, nonprofits, cultural institutions, creative businesses, municipalities, and community members who believe that arts and culture are essential to a vibrant, connected, and economically strong city. Through collaboration, partnership, and strategic leadership, SCP helps cultivate the relationships and creative infrastructure that allow artists and communities to thrive.
SCP serves as the managing organization for the Springfield Central Cultural District, designated by the Massachusetts Cultural Council. Working with public, private, and nonprofit partners, SCP activates public spaces, supports artists and creative businesses, strengthens downtown vibrancy, and advances community driven cultural initiatives.
SCP is also a founding partner of the Springfield Cultural Compact, a collaboration among Springfield Cultural Partnership, the Springfield Cultural Council, the City of Springfield, and the Massachusetts Cultural Council that aligns resources and advances arts and culture as drivers of civic life, community connection, and economic vitality.
