Will Copeland is a Northampton, Massachusetts-based singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and musical director whose work blends jazz, soul, folk, and contemporary songwriting with improvisation, rich vocal harmonies, and inventive live arrangements.
A former musical director of Northeastern University's The Nor'easters, winners of the 2017 International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA), Will brings a background in vocal arranging, ensemble leadership, and collaborative performance. His musical approach draws on years of experience as a pianist, guitarist, trumpeter, vocalist, and arranger.
His current project, Will Copeland Music, centers on original songs that explore love, loss, belonging, personal transformation, and the beauty and complexity of being human. His performances move between intimate storytelling and expansive musical arrangements, combining expressive vocals, jazz-influenced harmony, rhythmic improvisation, and moments of humor and spontaneity.
Performing both solo and with an evolving ensemble of instrumentalists and vocalists, Will creates concerts that emphasize musical connection, emotional honesty, and the shared experience between performers and audiences.
Will is available for concerts, festivals, performing arts series, community events, and collaborative performances throughout New England. He also offers opportunities for workshops and community engagement centered on songwriting, vocal harmony, improvisation, and collaborative music-making.
